Don’t submit to us. We’re a startup and don’t want you to risk your career on a publishing house that may not be here in six months.
We currently work with a select group of international authors who we contacted based on the quality of their work (not their sales numbers). We offered them huge advances (by today’s standards) for their help and suggestions getting us off the ground and letting us make mistakes.
In the vernacular, we made them an offer they couldn’t refuse, ie, we paid them to let us use their books to learn about book marketing.
This is important and should be noted: We’re not going to accept over-the-transom submissions until we know we can successfully market a book (ie, turn a profit and offer the author reasonable royalties). We suggest you return early and often as we’ll be posting our successes, failures, and when our doors open to submissions on this page.
